Your Opportunity
BDO Canada's Management Consulting Practice is a national advisory team that helps clients address complex business challenges and achieve meaningful transformation.
Our team is currently seeking a Consultant to join our growing Management Consulting Practice. This full-time role offers an opportunity to launch your consulting career by contributing to a variety of strategic and operational projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about public service, innovation, and delivering meaningful results to clients.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our team, you will support client engagements and internal initiatives by:

• Delivering high-quality consulting services in areas such as organizational and technology transformation, strategic and business planning, operational reviews, change management, and program/project management.
• Conducting research, analysis, and synthesis of qualitative and quantitative data to generate actionable insights.
• Developing client-ready presentations, reports, and other deliverables using MS Office and collaboration tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
• Supporting workshops, interviews, and working sessions with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Building relationships with clients and contributing to the development of practical, lasting solutions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams across BDO, including Risk Advisory and Digital Consulting practices.
• Contributing to business development efforts such as thought leadership, proposal development, and internal knowledge sharing.

Recent Projects Our Team Has Worked On

• Supporting the implementation and adoption of a leading Human Capital Management (HCM) solution through tailored change management strategies.
• Developing a strategic plan and performance measurement framework for a federal government department, including jurisdictional scanning and SWOT/PESTEL analysis.
• Creating a business case and investment plan to secure central agency approvals for a five-year capital program at a federal institution.
• Assessing project management maturity and organizational capabilities in a complex IT-enabled transformation environment.
• Designing and administering a province-wide survey to support cost-of-production analysis for a commodity sector on behalf of a not-for-profit commission.

Your Experience & Education
We are seeking professionals with a strong interest in consulting and a passion for public service. Ideally, you:

• Have recently graduated from a university program in Commerce, Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Have experience and a genuine interest in management consulting and public sector transformation.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Embrace ambiguity and complexity with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
• Are organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Demonstrate professionalism, initiative, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Enjoy working collaboratively, building relationships, and learning from others.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
• Have (or are eligible to obtain) a Government of Canada security clearance.
• Are interested in pursuing relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, CMC) is considered an asset.
• Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset.
• This team follows a hybrid work model. Successful candidates must be available to work on-site at our offices.
