Permanent Full Time-Group Retirement Services (GRS) Administration provides administration services for a variety of group products, including RRSP, RPP, DPSP, TFSA, Investment Only and various non-registered plan types. In this role you'll contribute to the effective record-keeping and reporting for GRS customers. You must become proficient with the Group Pension Administration System (GPAS) and GRS processes.Reporting to the Associate Manager, you will be accountable for:Handling plan and member maintenance on GPAS, including data updates, financial transactions, and reportingHandling various inquiries, telephone calls etc. from multiple audiencesFostering relationships with administration staff, plan administrators, advisors, auditors and contacts of other financial institutions you deal with.Handling sensitive and complex issues in a timely and accurate mannerYou will also be accountable for one or more of the following:Standard and customized client reporting, including the completion of Annual Information Returns and responding to inquiries from external auditors for GPAS and Investment Fund Reporting business.End to end handling of client events (which could include, investment fund changes, carrier transfers In, pension contribution monitoring, GRS audit control reviews)Completion of IO ReportingBackup during vacations and absences for the for other Designated Process Team members and the Investment Fund Reporting teamRequired competencies and behaviors:Bilingualism is a requirement to support French and English speaking clients accross CanadaCustomer service focused with a positive can-do attitudeStrong communication skills - both written and verbalOrganized and able to work in a dynamic and changing team environmentSelf-motivated with an ability to effectively multi-task and meet tight deadlinesFluency in Microsoft Office tools including Word and Outlook and proficient in ExcelKnowledge of investment/retirement rules and regulations around GRS productsMitigates risk through suspicious activity related to unusual pattern observations; escalates and reports findings in a timely mannerAbility to guide peer groups through non-standard situations with confidence using learned business knowledge and legislation rulesEligibility Requirements:Regular Full-Time employees must have been in their current role for a minimum of one year and have a minimum of 5 years GRS experience.The employee must be demonstrating acceptable performance.Reliability Status security clearance - this is a personnel security status that is required before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the website.
