The Medical Request Team (MRT) is responsible for requesting and following-up on medical documentation on behalf of the Claims Specialists. The MRT plays a key role in the claims process by allowing the Claim Specialist to focus on the adjudication process and not administrative tasks such as obtaining medical documentation. The MRT is also responsible to paying invoices related to medical documentation provided. Both medical requests and invoice payments come in as tasks in high volumes that have tight turnaround times that need to be adhered to.
What will you do?
Send medical requests and follow-up on medical requests within the given service level agreement on behalf of the Claims Specialists
Effectively balance both new requests and follow-ups to ensure the team's task queue is manageable and work is distributed fairly across all team members
Manage the Medical Intake mailbox
Process invoice payments
Update claims systems with accurate and applicable information error free
Implement and effectively manage change
Participate in projects and initiatives within Life & Health Claims
What will you need to succeed?
Must have:
Fluently bilingual in both French and English, written and spoken
Proven problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify additional sources to uncover vital information not otherwise available
Proficient in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Proven ability to multi-task and balance goals and priorities under tight deadlines
High school diploma
Nice to have:
Previous claims experience considered an asset
