Job Description

This Bilingual Accounts Receivable (A/R) role will be able to grow with a thriving company. There is an Bilingual Accounts Receivable Specialist position with a noteworthy benefits package, open through Robert Half, at a dynamic organization. The Bilingual Accounts Receivable Specialist role is a permanent position in the Cambridge, Ontario area. In this role, it will be critical for you to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. Candidates for this role must be Bilingual in French to be considered.

What you get to do every day

- Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

- Verify documents and codes

- Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

- Provide information as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

- Correspond with clients to resolve payment issues and set up payment plans

- Post and balance financial information in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts

- Support, relate, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the organization

- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

-MUST BE Bilingual in French, written and verbal

- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or related field

- Adeptness in Credit Notes

- Credit approvals experience preferred

- General familiarity with Daily Cash Receipts

- Credit collections experience

- Background working with EFT Payments

- Practical knowledge of Collecting Payments

- Electronic funds transfer experience highly preferred

- Credit Reports experience

- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

- Knowledge of Aging Accounts

- Earlier work involving Credit Card Payments

- Demonstrated knowledge of cash posting

- Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Current and relevant ERP system experience
