Job Description

Northstar Bicycle Co is looking for a Bicycle Technician to join our team to further improve the guest experience. As a Technician, you will be responsible for keeping the machine well oiled - bike repair is your life line. You will strive to learn the most effective and up to date ways to provide quick and accurate service. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the appropriate stock of built floor bikes and work with our E-Commerce department for pulling product and keeping high inventory results. We are looking for an overall guest centric individual who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Guest Experience - Art of the possible. Welcome each and every person and assist them to find what they need. Working on bikes! Repairing mechanical and electrical. Time management on handling multiple work orders and on-the-spot bike repairs. Keep yourself up to date on the newest and latest tech and bike news. Editing work order details and working with your service writer to keep all customer bikes on time and organized. Management of your special order product as well as presentation of the shop area. Communication through internal channels to keep everything running smoothly.
Qualifications:

Must be an organized self starter and capable of working independently and as a team. Professional experience in a bike shop setting (1 year minimum required). Knowledge of bicycle repair, service maintenance, and diagnosis an asset but will train the right candidate. Must be friendly and approachable, with the desire to get everyone riding! Previous knowledge of a POS system an asset, but not required. Previous training module completion (Trek U, S-Tec, etc.) an asset, but not required. Willingness to work weekends, some holidays, and extended sale periods.
