Responsibilities include designing, building, optimizing, and maintaining experiments, prototypes and products across Four Seasons Microsoft Azure\xe2\x80\x99s Data Platform including AAS and PowerBI.The Engineer will be a valued member of an internal Data Engineering capability working together to discover to define requirements, use cases and outcomes.The candidate is capable of working with all levels of the organization with an ability to understand and translate institutional knowledge into technical solutions. Strong service, communication and problem-solving skills are key.This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to the Senior Director, Data Engineering. This role involves interactions with internal executive stakeholders , project sponsors, technical operations and development teams, Four Seasons IT, end-user contracts, and product users. Externally, the role will interact with various Four Seasons partners and data solution providers, Microsoft, and source data providers.Key ActivitiesBI EngineeringAs an excellent communicator and facilitator, you will interview users and pull business needs and translate requirements to represent report functionalitiesDesign complex and interactive reports in Power BI to act like sophisticated applications with interactive visuals to service data using DAX as neededDevelop complex and high performing query to retrieve data from the data warehouseWork with business users and rapidly proto-typing reports to involve end-user inputs and feedbackDevelop, and support analytical databases in a tabular model, including features for data access and data securityEstablish governance, best practices for reporting and dashboard creationIn collaboration with Data Engineers, work collaboratively to develop and enhancement of ETL workflow in AzureIn collaboration with data architect, work collaboratively to design data architecture and data modelingAutomate continuous build and deployment of data mart, ETL workflow and reportsWork closely with business analysts, SMEs on project and production support to troubleshoot and debug issuesThinking creatively to design solutions, addressing both business and technical aspects, with a forward-thinking approach to best accommodate future opportunitiesCollaborate with cross functional team to understand business issues and identify opportunities to turn data into business insights using reporting tools or other self-service analyticsActs as BI SME for all BI consumers to provide technical support of tools and technical architectureParticipate to convert legacy reporting platform into future state data and analytics platformMake contributions in the development of test plans, test scripts, and perform test executionInitiate knowledge dissemination of design, coding, and analysis techniques with other team members in collaborative mannerEnsure that appropriate application and design documentation is created and kept up to dateMonitors system performance, implements changes to optimize performanceIncorporate operational risk and systems performance management in all initiativesDesign and develop Tabular models in AAS/Power BI using DAX language as neededAdoption of best development practices for batch processingManaging all work in Jira including but not limited to story creation, defect resolution etcDocumentation of the work in ConfluenceIdentifies opportunities for new architectural initiatives datawarehouse design and development, reports, dashboards development and migration related projects.Very good understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling concepts, performance improvement.2-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Visualization and Analytics in Azure environments using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services and Power BIDesired to have 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in AI/ML projects and implementationsThis role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate
