Job Description

Director Technology Principal Architect Location: Hybrid/Ottawa Permanent/Fulltime The Information Technology and CISO team is accepting applications for the position of Director Technology Principal Architect. This positions leads technology initiatives for the client using project management best practices and industry architecture frameworks. This position leads design efforts, defines end-to-end architectures, oversees, and performs research studies and presentations that include recommendations, and instructions for proposed implementations; formulating logical descriptions of problems; and recommending optimum solutions. Flexibility to shift hours will be required in order to respond to critical issues and events that occur outside of normal work hours and to meet work objectives and deadlines. Must Haves:

• Post-secondary school education in Computer Technology - Computing Science or in a related discipline with five (5) or more years\' of related experience OR possession of a secondary school diploma with a minimum of eight (8) years\' of related experience;
• Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP) certificate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certificate, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certificate, and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 2003 Track certificate;
• Proven industry experience working with significant degree of creativity and independence;
• Experience designing technology solutions that align closely with Cyber security best practices, ISO27001, NIST CSF, CIS, etc.;
• Experience in Meraki Wi-Fi, Data Center management, and VMware;
• Extensive knowledge of network monitoring methods and management tools;
• Knowledge of emerging solutions, applications and technologies, critical thinking and communication skills;
• Knowledge in Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), Cisco networking - N7K core switching, routers, switches, ASA, etc., Cisco MDS switches, Fortinet and Cisco Firewalls, and Microsoft Azure Cloud;
• Knowledge of document management, records management, forms integration, and document classification;
• Knowledge in Dell EMC storage SAN and other hyper converged technologies;
• Knowledge in SharePoint - Cloud and on Premises;
• Familiar with control standards from ISO27001 and NIST CSF; and
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

• Previous team leading or project management experience; and
• Bilingualism (English and French).
