BENEFITS & WELLNESS SPECIALIST



As a member of the HR team, you will have daily responsibilities related to employee wellness, benefit administration, short- and long-term disability management as well as health and safety.

In summary, as a Benefits and Wellness Specialist you will:



Design, promote and deliver employee strategies to optimize physical and mental health Oversee, manage and augment our competitive employee wellness program Lead the benefit program to ensure delivering the strategic priority to "treat you well" Manage short term disability process including relationships with our providers Provide support to our employees to develop positive health habits with proven results Make recommendations for our benefit offerings and group benefits plan Create and manage external health resources available to our employees Have responsibility for health and safety audits, inspections and committee meetings

As the successful candidate, you'll have responsibility for:



Assisting with day-to-day benefit administration Actively managing short and long-term disability cases Ensuring legislative compliance with all applicable laws related to employment Maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentially Working in a fast paced and deadline driven environment with high adaptability Demonstrating an ability to adapt to changing priorities Occasional travel throughout Ontario

The "must-have" skills and qualifications that we're looking for are:



A degree or diploma in health promotion, kinesiology, human resources (with a specialty in disability administration) or related field. 5 years of previous progressive related experience An individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstration of continuous learning and professional development Expert computer proficiency skills operating Microsoft Excel and Word

These additional skills are considered assets too:



Experience working in the financial services industry Canadian Certified Professional Ergonomist (CCPE) designation Life & Wellness Coach Certification, Health & Wellness Coach Certification, or equivalent
