Responsibilities




Administer, coordinate and execute benefits and pension related activities for team members located in regional offices across Canada Create monthly invoices, allocate correct benefits and pension costs to each business unit and arrange the remittance of funds with accounts payable Conduct audits to verify eligibility and modify benefits and pension as needed Process Human Capital Management System (HCMS) updates Respond to team member inquiries regarding benefits and pension sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally Administer and manage short-term disability (STD) and long-term disability (LTD) programs Liaise with insurance providers, account managers and employees to resolve claim and coverage issues Coordinate outsourced programs and vendor relationships and monitor for performance; identify cost savings opportunities and assure accurate payments Reconcile benefits and pension premiums owing for individuals on leave of absence; track the deposit of payments Arrange benefits and pension payroll deductions Carry out monthly reports detailing benefits usage Complete merger analysis relating to coverage and costs to determine transition plans Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Skills and Experience




Post-secondary education and related courses in group benefits (CEBS) 1 year of group benefits administration experience Strong data analysis skills Ability to Speak French and English (written and oral)
