Overview



We are currently looking for a

Benefits Consultant

that has the character and personality to work with a strong team of personable and successful individuals. Poised for aggressive growth, there has never been a better time to be part of the Gallagher Benefits team.

The Benefits Consultant is responsible for driving revenue growth by building and maintaining valuable relationships with clients. Are you passionate about helping clients manage risk, cost and facilitate an equitable and engaged workforce?



How you'll make an impact



Drive revenue growth by building and maintaining strong client relationships. Cultivate and expand relationships with existing clients. Collaborate with clients on employee benefits, compensation, disability management, and other HR needs. Convey a deep technical expertise and business insight in helping clients evaluate opportunities to reduce costs, risk and improve the overall competitiveness of benefits and HR services. Constantly stay ahead of industry, market and legislative trends that impact health & benefit plan design, delivery and compliance. Negotiate, review and present benefit renewals. Interpret benchmark data and analyze trends. Request and evaluate RFP proposals from market vendors and present findings with your strategic recommendations to clients. Ensure smooth technical account implementation when transitioning clients to new vendors and carriers. In collaboration with the Account Manager, address client inquiries about benefits coverage, claims issues, enrolment, invoicing, other day-to-day client needs, etc. Develop & participate in benefits presentations for clients and/or their employees. Facilitate consultative discussions with team members to align and execute client strategies effectively. Develop communication strategies and materials to inform clients' employees about changes in plan design, carriers, costs, etc.. Build strong working relationships with internal team members & partners and contribute to a positive office culture. Participate in team sales opportunities with sales producers and support personnel.



About you



Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of direct related industry consulting experience (consulting firm, insurance carrier). Demonstrated ability to solve complex client challenges through analytical and creative problem-solving. Proven experience in benefits consulting & administration. Completion of CEBS, Life License, or similar designations is strongly preferred. Confidence in identifying additional opportunities for cross-selling and expanding service offerings. Comfortable managing client groups of various sizes and complexities. Willingness and ability to travel to client sites in Western Canada.
