Bench Hand, Mod Shop - Permanent, Full-time

As the Bench Hand, Mod Shop, you will work as part of our shop team who are responsible for modifying stock electric motors before they reach our customers. In this role your primary job responsibilities will be:

? Determine alterations to stock electric motors based on customer requirements listed on work orders

? Perform work on modification jobs including but not limited to:

Shaft modification Flange installation Performing vibration testing Installation of rings, seals or bearings Painting motors including epoxy paint
? Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures

You will bring:

? Completion of Grade 10; Grade 12 or GED is an asset

? Knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools and equipment used in manufacturing, maintenance or related shop environment

? Ability to safely and properly use the necessary hand and power tools for work assignments

? Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions

? Ability to maintain simple records including basic computer skills to perform data entry into shop management software

? Good attention to detail and a desire to perform high-quality work

? Enjoy finding solutions to difficult problems

? Interest in keeping up with technological changes

? Friendly attitude and willingness to help others

? Strong ability work with machines and tools with excellent hand-eye coordination

? Physical endurance and strength to perform required duties including lifting heavy items, more than 25 kilograms
