Position Title: Behavioural Health Worker

Position Summary:
The Behavioural Health Worker is an integral member of the support staff, providing a range of services tailored to meet the specific and personalized needs of clients. Behavioural Health Workers are trained paraprofessionals who work under the supervision of behavioural and mental health clinicians to deliver high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to clients following individualized care plans.
Utilize training in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), mental health supports, and trauma-informed care in daily activities and interventions.
Assist clients with daily activities, therapeutic exercises, and other prescribed interventions.
Monitor and document client progress, behavior, and responses to interventions.
Communicate regularly with supervising clinicians about client progress and any concerns.
Participate in team meetings and case conferences as needed.
Adapt to the varying needs of clients and adjust support strategies accordingly.
Be flexible in working in different settings, including clients' homes, community centers, and clinical environments.
Complete a minimum of 20 hours of specialized training in ABA, mental health supports, and trauma-informed care.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in a related field preferred.
Completion of 20 hours of specialized training in ABA, mental health supports, and trauma-informed care.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively within a team.
Empathy, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality client care.
Working Conditions:
This position may require working in various environments, including clients' homes, community centers, and clinical settings.
Flexibility in work hours may be required to meet the needs of clients.
Evaluation:
Performance will be evaluated regularly based on client feedback, adherence to care plans, and collaboration with clinicians.
Behavioural Health Workers are encouraged to engage in ongoing training and professional development.

Pay: $18.50-$24.45 per hour
