We are currently seeking compassionate and motivated Behavioural Health Workers to join our team. In this vital role, you will work under the supervision of behavioural and mental health clinicians to provide individualized, high-quality support to clients in a variety of settings.
As a trained paraprofessional, you will play a key role in helping clients achieve their goals by delivering care rooted in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), mental health supports, and trauma-informed practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct, one-on-one support to clients based on personalized care plans
Use techniques from ABA, mental health, and trauma-informed care to support client goals
Assist with daily living activities, therapeutic exercises, and prescribed interventions
Monitor, document, and report on client behavior, progress, and any concerns
Communicate effectively with supervising clinicians and contribute to care planning
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Adapt support strategies to meet clients' changing needs
Work in diverse environments including homes, community centers, and clinical settings
Complete and maintain a minimum of 20 hours of specialized training in relevant support areas
Engage in continuous professional development
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Additional education in a related field (e.g. social services, psychology, health sciences) is an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a care team
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to delivering client-centered care
Working Conditions
May require working in multiple environments including client homes, community spaces, and clinical settings
Flexibility in work hours (including evenings/weekends) may be necessary based on client needs
