Job Overview


I am seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioural Aide to work with my child. in my home. This role is essential in providing support to learn routines, follow instructions, learn executive functioning tasks, learn appropriate social behaviours when interacting with friends for a child who is autistic. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a background in special education, ensuring that all individuals receive the care and attention they need.

Duties



Provide support to a child with special needs in educational and social settings, fostering an inclusive environment. Engage with patients to provide compassionate care and support during their activities and daily routines. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals and documenting patient information. Collect and maintain accurate data related to patient progress and needs, contributing to ongoing assessments and evaluations. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and medical staff to create tailored support plans for each individual. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.

Experience



Previous experience working with children is required; experience in special education is highly desirable. Must have a trauma-informed approach. Background in patient care or related fields is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to supporting individuals' health and well-being. Knowledge of medical terminology will enhance communication within the team and improve documentation accuracy. Experience in data collection methods is beneficial for tracking progress and outcomes effectively.
