Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated

Behaviour Interventionist (BI)

to join our team and support children and youth with autism and other developmental disabilities. As a BI, you will work under the supervision of a Behaviour Consultant to implement individualized intervention plans, using evidence-based strategies to foster skill development, communication, and positive behaviour.

Responsibilities

:

Implement 1:1 therapy sessions based on an individualized Behaviour Plan Use Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) techniques to teach communication, social, play, and life skills. Record and track progress through session notes and data collection. Work collaboratively with the child's family, Behaviour Consultant, and other professionals. Reinforce positive behaviours and manage challenging behaviours using ABA principles. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and ensure program effectiveness. Maintain a fun, engaging, and supportive environment for the child

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities. A diploma or degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field (or working towards completion). Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) principles is an asset. Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow structured intervention plans and collect data accurately. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Access to reliable transportation for in-home or community-based sessions.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
