ABOUT US:
Founded in 2017, Gateway Behaviour Services is a local family-owned-and-operated practice in Prince George, BC, that specializes in providing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy to meet the diverse needs of autistic children ages 0-18 years. Our on-site programs include 1:1 Behaviour Intervention, Skills-Based Groups, Summer Camp, and a Learning Centre. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to support in all four programs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, Behaviour Interventionists are primarily responsible for working directly with clients, implementing treatment plans that address the core deficits and challenges associated with autism. Additionally, they collect data, write session notes, and collaborate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support clients in one-to-one and small group settings, implementing treatment plans as directed
Collect data on client progress and behaviour patterns, write session notes, and create program materials
Collaborate with treatment team members
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Contribute to a positive and team-based work culture
Complete initial 40-Hour RBT Training, CPR and CPI Certification, and ongoing training
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Age 19+
Vulnerable Sector Check
High School Diploma or GED; Education in Psychology, Behaviour Analysis, Special Education, or a related field is an asset
Experience with children and/or individuals with diverse abilities is preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills
Engaging and able to build rapport with children
Patience, empathy, and responsiveness to clients' needs
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Physically capable of performing job duties (e.g., sitting on the floor, kneeling, squatting, running, lifting)
