Barrantes operates residential group homes across the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge and Guelph areas, and provides both community- and home-based services throughout Southern and Central Ontario.

Behaviour Associate
committed to empowering clients in our Barrantes Group Living homes with the following full time line schedules:
Line 1:
Week 1:
Sunday 7am-3pm; Tuesday-Friday 3pm-11pm
Week 2:
Monday-Thursday, Saturday 3pm-11pm
Week 3:
Sunday 3pm-11pm; Tuesday-Friday 7am-3pm
Week 4:
Monday-Thursday, Saturday 7am-3pm
Line 2:
Week 1:
Sunday 3pm-11pm; Tuesday-Friday 7am-3pm
Week 2:
Monday-Thursday, Saturday 7am-3pm
Week 3:
Sunday 7am-3pm; Tuesday-Friday 3pm-11pm
Week 4:

Each role (Associate I and Associate II) requires specific qualifications and experience. Ideal candidates will:
Demonstrate a high level of care, compassion, and dedication.
Show the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Be experienced in supporting diverse populations, including individuals with dual diagnoses, developmental disabilities, and complex behaviours.
Follow Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and Individual Support Plans (ISPs) as outlined by leadership.
Carry out programming tasks as directed.
Complete housekeeping duties and meal preparation during their shifts.
Have a working knowledge of behavioural skills training and the implementation of replacement behaviours.
Understand task analysis, prompt fading techniques, and behaviour function identification.
Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable access to a vehicle for community travel.
Maintain valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
Possess a relevant diploma or degree in the social services field.
Be able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
Have vehicle insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000 in liability coverage and provide a recent driver's abstract.
Have an up-to-date vaccination record.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong rapport with clients in group living homes.
Advocate for and support clients' needs.
Implement and follow behaviour management strategies effectively.
Foster a collaborative and supportive environment to maximize clients' success.
Respond to crises as needed.
Complete all required clinical documentation.
Communicate and coordinate with team members regularly.
Additional Duties:
Engage in ongoing professional development through internal workshops or external training.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client and company information.
Education Requirements:
Associate I & II roles require a diploma or degree from a recognized program, or at least 5 years of relevant experience in the social services field.
Experience Requirements:
Associate I:
1-3 years of relevant experience
Associate II:
3+ years of experience
Additional training in behavioural management/modification is considered an asset.
Safe Management Group certification is also an asset.
