Within the data science team, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive scientific research on ongoing challenges inherent in multiplayer online games, such as engagement, toxicity, and matchmaking. You will draw upon various sources, including quantitative data, surveys, scientific literature, and industry insights, to propose actionable recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders, influencing game development and the company\'s direction.

In this role you will :

• Investigating the diverse facets surrounding real issues in online multiplayer games ;
• Interpreting the implications of different observations to identify areas for improvement ;
• Planning rigorous and holistic research projects that lead to robust and impactful recommendations for game production teams ;
• Synthesizing various findings and presenting complex conclusions and results in a compelling narrative ;
• Conducting statistical analysis of quantitative observations (in-game analytics) and qualitative data (surveys, forums, etc.) to understand player behavior ;
• Conceptualizing and coordinating experiments (e.g., user tests, A/B tests) to test hypotheses ;
• Conducting reviews of scientific literature and comparative analyses with the industry ;
• Staying up-to-date on scientific innovations and industry practices ;
• Engaging in discussions and collaborations with internal partners (data, product, design, etc.) to identify priority challenges for investigation and develop hypotheses ;
• Developing tools and methods, including comprehensive documentation, to ensure the reproducibility and accessibility of your analyses.

What we\'re looking for :

• 3 years or more in a role focused on quantitative and/or qualitative analysis, involving data exploration and manipulation, statistical analysis, and business intelligence ;
• Academic background in research fields such as psychology, sociology, and communication ;
• Experience in SQL and R coding ;
• Experience with qualitative data ;
• Interest in video games, as well as the gaming industry and its challenges ;
• Experience with player communities is a plus ;
• Curiosity and problem-solving abilities ;
• Interest and capability in identifying and solving complex business problems ;
• Ability to independently manage a project from start to finish ;
• Interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities ;
• Ability to create clear and easily understandable presentations.

• Conceptualiser et coordonner des exp\xc3\xa9riences (ex. : tests utilisateurs, A/B tests) pour tester des hypoth\xc3\xa8ses ;
• R\xc3\xa9aliser des revues de litt\xc3\xa9rature scientifique et des analyses comparatives avec l\'industrie;
• Se tenir \xc3\xa0 jour sur les innovations scientifiques et les pratiques de l\'industrie ;
• Discuter et collaborer avec des partenaires \xc3\xa0 l\'interne (data, produit, design, etc.) pour identifier des d\xc3\xa9fis prioritaires \xc3\xa0 investiguer et \xc3\xa9laborer des hypoth\xc3\xa8ses ;
• D\xc3\xa9velopper des outils et des m\xc3\xa9thodes, y compris une documentation compl\xc3\xa8te, pour rendre vos analyses reproductibles et accessibles.

Ce que nous recherchons :

• 3 ans et plus dans un r\xc3\xb4le d\'analyse quantitative et/ou qualitative ax\xc3\xa9 sur l\'exploration et la manipulation de donn\xc3\xa9es, l\'analyse statistique, l\'intelligence des affaires ;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience acad\xc3\xa9mique dans des domaines de recherche comme la psychologie, sociologie, communication ;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience en codage SQL et R ;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience avec des donn\xc3\xa9es qualitatives ;
• Int\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xaat pour les jeux vid\xc3\xa9o, ainsi que pour l\'industrie du jeu vid\xc3\xa9o et ses enjeux ;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience avec des communaut\xc3\xa9s de joueurs est un atout ;
• Curiosit\xc3\xa9 et capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 r\xc3\xa9soudre des probl\xc3\xa8mes ;
• Int\xc3\xa9r\xc3\xaat et capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 identifier et \xc3\xa0 r\xc3\xa9soudre des probl\xc3\xa8mes commerciaux complexes ;
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 g\xc3\xa9rer de mani\xc3\xa8re autonome un projet du d\xc3\xa9but \xc3\xa0 la fin ;
• Comp\xc3\xa9tences interpersonnelles et savoir communiquer ;
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 cr\xc3\xa9er des pr\xc3\xa9sentations claires et faciles \xc3\xa0 comprendre.

Vous vous appuierez sur d\'une multitude de sources (donn\xc3\xa9es quantitative, sondage, litt\xc3\xa9rature scientifique et industrielle, etc.) pour proposerez des recommandations actionnables aux parties prenantes interfonctionnelles pour influencer le d\xc3\xa9veloppement des jeux et la direction de l\'entreprise.
