Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced

ECE

to join our Before and After School teacher team. This is a part-time position, with

22 hours/week

. Additional hours may be available during Spring Break and Summer Vacation.

As a Before and After School Teacher, you will:

Ensure a clean and safe environment for children.

Provide learning experiences and opportunities to children.

Establish loving, positive, safe and secure relationships with the children.

Nurture to children's individual physical, social-emotional, and mental wellness needs.

Connect and engage in collaborative partnerships with fellow educators, colleagues, families, and the greater community.

Prepare, plan, implement and organize activities in-line with the centre's curriculum to support the development of children's social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical growth.

Communicate children's learning development and progress with families/caregivers and colleagues

Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities where necessary.

Qualifications

As a Before and After School Teacher, you need to have:

A valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate

A valid Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR/AED Level B Certificate

A clear Criminal Record Check

Legally permitted to work in Canada

Strong communication skills; good spoken and written in English

A high level of responsibility and accountability

Commitment and dedication

Excellent interpersonal skills. Have a passion for building and maintaining relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Minimum 2 years' experience in Before/After School setting

Pay: $21.00-$22.00/hour
