Before And After School Inclusion Support Worker
Job Description
We are looking for a fun, dynamic, focused and patient individual to join our Before and After School team in the role of inclusion support. The hour vary depending on approved funding and are currently 7:15 am-8:45 am before school and 2:30 pm-5:00pm after school, following the School District 61 calendar.
Reporting directly to the Victoria West Community Association Childcare manager and the Out of School Kids Club Team Lead, the Inclusion Support Worker is responsible for developing and incorporating strategies to support the inclusion of an individual child with additional needs. You will be assisting them to be able to participate in a meaningful way in the planned activities along with the other attendees.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Responsible Adult certification (or equivalent). Special Needs Educator, ECE or ECEA preferred. Minimum 19 years of age Up to date on vaccinations, including the flu vaccine Standard First Aid and CPR certified Clean criminal record check Previous experience working with children in a child care or recreation-based setting Ability to deliver childcare programs with minimal supervision Ability to maintain a high degree of enthusiasm, imagination and personal motivation Excellent interpersonal skills and positive customer service skills
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 months
Pay: $21.84 per hour
