Coach/Instructor - Youth and Adult Programs



Part Time (4-10 hours per week)

Get ready to dive into an exciting opportunity as we search for enthusiastic Coaches at the Beach Hangar! Our vibrant new home for beach volleyball is not just a place to play; it's a community where you can inspire and uplift athletes of all ages.



Our stunning Beach Hangar boasts 23,000 square feet of sandy excitement, featuring 6 dive-friendly courts and 30-foot ceilings, plus a mezzanine level resto-lounge with a bird's eye view of the court action. And the best part? It's always sunny here--no rainouts!

As a Beach Hangar Coach, you'll be the first friendly face newcomers see as they discover beach volleyball. This is your chance to grow the sport and foster an amazing community of players, from enthusiastic beginners to seasoned pros.

We're on the lookout for positive, engaging, and fun coaches to lead our Adult and Youth programs. Whether you're teaching the basics or fine-tuning advanced skills, your mission is to make learning beach volleyball an absolute blast for everyone!

Coaches at the Beach Hangar are:

Fantastic connectors, able to create a sense of belonging and connection among members. Confident and fun individuals, with presence and positive energy, who encourage everyone to learn new things. Past experience coaching in the sand or on court is an asset. Knowledgeable in the sport of beach volleyball and teaching methods. Quick thinkers and confident with adapting and trying different approaches to teaching and coaching. Strong court presence and ability to control a space in a way that is constructive and encouraging of learning.
Coaches at the Beach Hangar will be responsible for:

Developing fun and engaging program plans and practices for each session. Creating and maintaining an environment where participants are having fun, making connections and learning. Set up and tear down of facility space, ensuring the play space is safe and ready for play. Ensure the Beach Hangar rules, safety protocols and conduct policies are enforced but put player safety first. Leading a team of additional instructors, providing instructions and mentorship.
Instructors must commit for an entire cycle of play. Our Adult programs will run Sunday mornings, and our youth programs Saturday and Sunday mornings at the Beach Hangar. This is a paid position. In addition Coaches play for FREE, on a night they are not coaching. Coaches must have personal transportation to and from the league facilities. Coaches will be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check.
