We are looking for a Unity Technical Artist to work with our team on a multiplayer mobile Augmented Reality project in the education space. This is a long term freelance position.

Technical Skills/Qualifications

• 2+ years of Unity experience
• Experience developing games, applications, or VR/AR experiences using Unity
• Experience with either C# or C++
• Experience building shader graphs and materials from scratch
• Able to handle animations and rig transfers from Maya/Houdini to Unity (FBX baking)
• Ability to do basic simulations in Unity
• Substance painter and substance designer knowledge a big plus!

Other Requirements

• Reel or portfolio demonstrating work with breakdown of responsibilities
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to utilize time allotted efficiently
• Ability to communicate task progress both verbally over video and written through email/business communication platforms
• Experienced in working as part of a development team a plus
• Enjoy solving problems and finding solutions to technical issues
• Ability to work well under pressure with short deadlines
• Ability to work with various departments as part of a larger group

Location Information

• Studio is based in Vancouver. A remote first, hybrid approach is available to all candidates. All remote positions require the candidate to have a reliable internet connection via ethernet.

• This position requires candidates be based in Vancouver, British Columbia or in the U.S.
• Zoic does not cover relocation costs.
