Zoic Studios Vancouver is seeking a experienced Senior Cinema 4D/3ds Max Look Development Artist to join our team on a freelance bases. This is a project-based hire. This is a collaborative role that will help actualize the creative vision of the Client while taking your cues from the Department Supervisors, Show VFX Supervisors and Creative Directors. We are looking for an artist who can design shots and construct Feature Film VFX shot elements with high regard to the look development process, while creating and managing complex assets and shot execution tasks. Experience understanding camera and lensing, designing amazing visuals and creating vivid and colourful hyper realistic and stylized space environments is a must. We are open to software and workflow considerations as per applicants\xe2\x80\x99 skill set. Technical Skills/Qualifications

• 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as C4D and 3ds Max creating abstract and space effects elements for feature films and high end commercial production.
• 7+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with C4D and or 3ds Max.
• Experience lighting and rendering in either package
• Experience creating shot camera animation
• Experience with volume sculpting, gaseous cloud and abstract effects.
• Experience with procedural modeling.
• Experience working with particle systems and fluid simulations.
• Experience with complex asset management and shot execution.
• Experience designing and creating vibrant hyper realistic space and abstract elements is preferred.
• Experience with creating shot cameras is preferred.

Other Requirements

• Highly experienced in working as part of a development team.
• Ability to take artistic direction
• Help develop the look, execution process, and identify the workflow for the visual requirements of assigned work.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to utilize time allotted efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Ability to work well under pressure with short deadlines
• Able to meet internal and external deadlines
• Ability to take shots from Previs to Final with minimal supervision.
• Help to ensure work is properly shown in reviews and maintain a high level of work quality for review by the Real Time Supervisors and Client/Internal Supervisors.

Location Information

• Studio is based in Vancouver. A remote first, hybrid approach is available to all candidates. All remote positions require the candidate to have a reliable internet connection via ethernet.

Additional Information

• British Columbia Employees Pay Range: $50 - $65 (The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position)
• This position requires candidates be based in Vancouver, British Columbia or in the U.S.
• Zoic does not cover relocation costs.
