We are looking for caring and enthusiastic individuals to join a progressive non-profit organization as a Nurse Manager in a full-time position working in a Long-Term Care home/ Assisted Living setting in Kelowna. The position entails working with the Program Manager, LPN's and Care Aides providing care to Adults at our Long-Term Care/ Assisted Living locations in Kelowna. It will involve some supervision, administration tasks, delegation, providing support and assistance to those who provide care to individuals who are physically disabled with minor mental health issues or have acquired brain injuries. The successful applicant would be very organized and would have good leadership skills.

Some benefits have eligibility requirements of surpassing three (3) months and securing a regular position of 20hrs/week or more. The benefits and criteria may change from time to time at the discretion of Strive.


Individuals in the home have developmental disabilities, physical disabilities and some minor mental health or medical issues. Many have physical limitations and need full care support. The right candidate shall possess strong management experience with good written and verbal communication skills, a valid BCDL class 4 and in good standing with CLPNBC.


This is a full-time permanent position.

Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Completing daily documentation Administration of medication Working as a team Possess knowledge of when to assume assignable and/or delegable tasks Maintain documentation and reports as applicable to each program (e.g. Log Books, Communication) Books, Professional Visitation Forms, Quarterly Reports, Care/Service Plans, Individual Program Plans, developing and implementing health care plans Reportable Incidents In collaboration with the Program Manager develop tenant care plans and service plans upon entry and when the need arises Update tenants' progress based on care plan every three months Direct Support Services as well as Administration

Qualifications and Requirements:




Registered nurse with good standing and registration with BCCNM Management experience in residential or health care setting an asset Class 5 BC Driver's License and a reliable vehicle to use for work Awareness of and respect for the human rights of persons-in-care Excellent interpersonal and team building skills Ability to work independently Good organization and time management abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills Sound judgment and decisiveness in the event of emergency Familiarity with computers and proficiency in Microsoft platform
