Role Overview:
As a Technical Project Manager with a DBA specialization, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of database related components within the batch jobs optimization initiative. You will coordinate with stakeholders, Broadridge RPM SMEs, and technical teams to ensure timely delivery of discovery, analysis, and solution roadmap milestones. Your role will blend project leadership with deep technical understanding of database performance, optimization, and architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the end to end delivery of DBA activities
Coordinate technical validation of
Broadridge RPM
recommendations for SQL tuning, indexing, and database sizing.
Oversee analysis of batch job performance issues tied to database inefficiencies (e.g., ICE file delays, persisted views).
Manage dependencies related to access, data provisioning, and stakeholder availability.
Ensure timely delivery and sign off key deliverables including:
o Current State Discovery Document
o Analysis and Recommendations Document
o Final Solution Roadmap
Facilitate resolution of open queries and ensure alignment with SLAs and infrastructure standards.
Track progress, report status, and escalate risks related to database architecture and performance.
Collaborate with RPM and bank teams to benchmark and futureproof database capacity.
Required Skills & Experience:
Project Management:
8+ years of experience managing technical projects in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of milestone-based delivery and stakeholder engagement.
Experience with change control, dependency tracking, and governance reporting.
Database & Batch Job Expertise:
Solid understanding of
Oracle DB
performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
Familiarity with batch job ecosystems and their interaction with database layers.
Experience with SAN storage, thread models, and hardware profiling.
Technical Leadership:
Ability to interpret RPM analysis and translate into actionable project plans.
Experience coordinating cross functional teams including DBAs, architects, and vendor SMEs.
Strong documentation and communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
