Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baseball Coach to lead and develop our baseball program. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching skills and a deep understanding of the game, fostering a positive and competitive environment for players and be active in the local scene. This role is essential in guiding athletes to improve their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while promoting a love for the game of baseball.

This is an independent contractor position. The listed hourly rate reflects an approximate starting equivalent. Compensation is based on student registration and program participation. Coaches will have flexibility to design sessions and collaborate with the Area 11 team on scheduling and promotion.

Duties

Plan and conduct effective practice sessions that focus on skill development, strategy, and teamwork. Teach fundamental baseball techniques. Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their abilities. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship. Organize and manage team activities including games, tournaments, and community events. Communicate regularly with players and parents regarding progress, expectations, and any concerns. Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games by adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

Previous coaching experience in baseball or related sports is preferred. Strong teaching skills with the ability to effectively communicate techniques and strategies. A background in physical education or sports management is advantageous. Must demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to motivate young athletes. Pay: From $20.00 per hour
