Seair Seaplanes is currently seeking a dynamic individual to oversee all daily operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery of flight services. This leadership role combines operational management, regulatory compliance, business sales, team supervision, community outreach, and the maintenance of a high-quality customer experience. The Base Manager is responsible for ensuring that all activities support the company's safety culture, service standards, and business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Oversight
Manage and coordinate all aspects of day-to-day flight operations, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient execution of scheduled and charter flights.
Supervise and support the flight dispatch process, ensuring effective communication between pilots, dockhands, and customer service personnel.
Coordinate with other bases for inter-base flight coordination and resource sharing.
Monitor weather conditions and ensure operational readiness accordingly.
Safety & Compliance
Enforce compliance with company safety protocols, Transport Canada regulations, and environmental policies.
Ensure emergency procedures and equipment are maintained and understood by all base staff.
Maintain oversight of base infrastructure, including docks, fuel systems, and ground support equipment.
Personnel Management
Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise dock staff, customer service personnel
Manage team performance and morale, ensuring a high level of professionalism and customer care.
Handle disciplinary issues and maintain a positive workplace culture.
Customer Experience
Oversee the customer service experience from check-in to boarding, ensuring a seamless and friendly interaction.
Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years in management operations
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, partners and regulatory bodies.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Understanding of aviation regulations and safety protocols is considered an asset.
Work Environment:
Outdoor and indoor work at the seaplane base.
Fast-paced, customer-facing, and safety-critical environment.
Physical activity required for dock operations and occasional lifting.
Applicant assets include previous aviation experience, tourism experience, and geographical knowledge of B.C.'s West Coast.

Seair Seaplanes has been in operation for over 30 years, providing a scheduled service and charter routes to the Southern British Columbia coast. Ranging in size, we operate 13 aircraft and maintain our aircraft with our in-house maintenance team.
