Job Summary


We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, engaging with patrons, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. Prior experience in food and beverage service, especially in a restaurant or hospitality setting, is highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, handling cash transactions accurately, and managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties



Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in accordance with standard recipes and presentation guidelines Use POS systems such as Toast for order entry and cash handling Engage with customers to provide excellent service, answer questions about menu items, and promote specials or events Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling regulations at all times Manage cash transactions accurately using basic math skills and cashiering procedures Restock bar supplies as needed and monitor inventory levels Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders when necessary Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication Handle all VLT payouts accuratley

Requirements



Previous experience in restaurant or food industry service roles is a necessity, especially in serving or bartending positions Familiarity with POS systems Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously VLT experience an asset Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs accurately Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry A friendly personality with strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
