Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, experienced and customer-oriented individual to join our team.
As a Bartender and Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by preparing and serving a variety of beverages and dishes in a timely and efficient manner. Your friendly demeanor and ability to multitask will contribute to creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our patrons. While also maintaining our lounge facility during shift.
Duties:
- Greet clients and take their orders promptly
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked
- Provide recommendations on drink selections based on customer preferences
- Capable of changing and tapping a beer keg
- Take food orders from diners and make recommendations based on preferences
- Wipe and bus dining tables as well as potentially rinsing dishes on a busy night
- Memorize menus items and weekly features
- Be able to communicate clearly between kitchen services and front of house
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Be familiarized with standard bar/restaurant opening and closing procesures
- Be comfortable in a key-holder position unsupervised
- Capable of understanding POS troubleshooting
- Be able to de-escalate situations without the presence of security
- Able to demonstrate restaurant self-management with little oversight
- Capable of changing 50lb gas cannisters for pop or beer
- Comfortable pouring draught beer
Qualifications:
- Possess a Serving It Right certification
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service preferred
- Experience with restaurant Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously
- Moderate knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beers
- Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
