Works with the Bar Manager to establish Standards for Drinks, Garnishes and Ops
Responsible for the daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked
Communicate to the Bar Manager the inventory levels and supplies as needed to minimize waste and control costs
Conduct weekly inventory counts if required
Prepping of product & garnishes
Understand bar trends
Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of restaurant strategies and initiatives
3. Customer Service:
Work closely with the restaurant's kitchen and management team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
Ensure high standards of service are consistently delivered to guests
Handle guest complaints and resolve issues effectively to maintain customer satisfaction
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience and increase customer retention
Establish relationships with industry players
4. Financial Management:
Accurately record bar waste
Driving sales, upselling drinks and creating targets
5. Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations, including alcohol service laws
Maintain health and safety standards in the bar area & ensure these standards are being met
Ensure cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols
Responsible for the cleanliness of the bar
And other duties to be assigned
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
Experience:
Bartending experience is an asset
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Knowledge in bar management software and POS systems an asset
Knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine and beverage pairings, and current trends in the beverage industry
Certifications:
Responsible Beverage Service certification and Food Handler's certification
Must be at least 19 years of age.
Working Conditions:
This position requires standing for extended periods, bending down, and the ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds
Work will involve evening and weekend shifts, including holidays
