Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and creative Bartender to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced lounge & pub environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, and the ability to innovate. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, managing the bar area, and ensuring a welcoming and memorable atmosphere for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Develop and create new, innovative, and seasonal cocktails to enhance our drink menu. Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, equipment, and utensils. Operate the POS system (experience with Micros POS is a plus) for order processing and accurate cash handling. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, making recommendations, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Ensure compliance with all food safety and responsible alcohol service regulations. Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure prompt and high-quality service. Collaborate with kitchen and floor staff to coordinate food and drink orders seamlessly. Handle all cash and credit card transactions accurately. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality to create a positive and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Qualifications

Language Skills: Fluency in English or Mandarin Chinese is required. Proficiency in Cantonese is a strong asset. Cocktail Development: Demonstrated passion and skill for creating and developing new, signature cocktails is highly desirable. Certification: Must possess a valid Serving It Right (SIR) certificate for British Columbia. Experience: Previous bartending experience in a fast-paced restaurant, pub, or lounge environment is preferred. Knowledge: Strong knowledge of mixology, classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer. Familiarity with local craft beers and distilleries is a major plus. Technical Skills: Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures. Customer Service: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor. Time Management: Excellent ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient under pressure during peak hours. Teamwork: A reliable team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
