Summary

The

Avenir Centre

is seeking a dynamic and experienced

Bartender

to join our team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service during events, while maintaining compliance with all liquor laws and company procedures. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced, upscale lounge setting.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages Provide efficient and friendly service to guests, ensuring a premium customer experience Enforce all liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the bar and service areas Accurately handle cash, credit transactions, and reconcile cash drawers Ensure correct pricing and register setup in line with company standards Monitor and replenish bar inventory during service Request and verify valid identification for all alcohol purchases Follow all Food & Beverage Division standards and procedures Perform additional duties as assigned based on event needs

Education & Experience Requirements

High school diploma or GED required Bartending experience required (bar, pub, or upscale lounge environment) Experience in food service and table waiting preferred Cash handling experience required Familiarity with alcohol service laws and best practices Must hold a Responsible Beverage Service Certificate Food Handler's Certificate is an asset Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team English proficiency required; French proficiency preferred Must be of legal age to serve alcohol

Availability

This is a

casual,

position. Hours are primarily

evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

Work involves standing and walking for 8-10+ hours, navigating stairs as required Must be able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, often with loud noise levels Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and handling of equipment and products Direct interaction with guests, team members, and managers in a fast-paced setting
