Job Summary


We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our establishment.

Responsibilities



Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and delivering drinks promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies as needed. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through the POS system. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices. Manage time effectively to serve customers efficiently during busy periods. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and drinks, enhancing the overall dining experience. Stay informed about new drink recipes, menu changes, and promotions to provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests.

Qualifications



Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere for guests. Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food handling practices is essential for maintaining safety standards. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs. Bartenders must be at least 18 years of age. They must be able to measure accurately in order to prepare drinks quickly and without waste (especially during busy periods). Bartenders need a working knowledge of: Cocktail recipes The characteristics of wine, beer and spirits Liquor laws Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) policies and regulations Valid ProServe Certification is Required
