Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving drinks, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Operate the POS system efficiently, including Micros POS, for processing orders and payments. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking drink orders, and offering recommendations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary. Maintain inventory of bar supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Digital Dining, is an advantage. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for cash handling and drink preparation measurements. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling. A friendly demeanour with strong hospitality skills to create an inviting atmosphere for guests.
