Status: full time, part time (permanent)
Schedule: Flexible, Shift work based on weekly schedules, weekdays and weekends

JOB SUMMARY:

Become a bartender within our latest Food and Beverage outlet. Sosta, our second location after Toronto! is a Fresh, Italian-influenced specialties that offer many delicious dishes such as wood-oven pizzas!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and serve all beverages
• Product knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beer and non-alcoholic selections, preparation methods and garnishes for each drink.
• Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations
• Perform related maintenance/cleaning of equipment
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of bar-top, service areas.
• Anticipate guest\'s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge guests even when busy
• Keep the area clean (cupboard, counters, dishes, etc)
• Rotate the expired items
• Maintain the supplies of food (perishable and non-perishable)
• Maintain the proper supplies (napkins, cutlery, etc)
• All other tasks as required

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Previous bartending experience in a reputable bar
• Excellent knowledge of wines & spirits, mixology skills
• Smart Serve Certified
• Problem solving skills
• Able to work quickly and multi-task
• Have an eye for detail and strong sense of urgency
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to stand for up to 5 hours at a time, lift/carry/push up to 50 lbs. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects
• Excellent English, both verbal and written
• A second language (preferably French) an asset
