Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system, preferably Micros POS. Provide detailed menu information to guests, including daily specials and recommendations. Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and quality standards. Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments and providing change. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of the food industry. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with food handling and preparation is an asset. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role.
