Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista / Server for a new "grab & go" cafe' located in Mississauga. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and prepared food items. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, sandwiches, salads & soups according to established recipes. Operate the POS system efficiently, to process transactions accurately. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction with their orders. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling practices. Assist in food preparation and serving, adhering to food safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness of the cafe area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Skills

Previous barista experience is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is essential. Familiarity with the food industry and food service operations is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
