Job Description

Work a mixed position downtown Tofino in our mixed used building on the waterfront. The business operates sea kayak tours, small five room inn and a waterfront coffeeshop and retail store.

The position involves working morning in the coffeeshop as a Barista and in the afternoon going upstairs to manage the housekeeping of the Inn. The position is quite active and good for someone who enjoy variety.

The Harbourview Coffeehouse serves espresso drinks, light food and sweets. The position requires overseeing a small coffee bar, serving food and working a POS system. Making sure coffee bar is stocked and doing inventory for orders. Cleaning and ensuring space is kept stocked with supplies. This is a fast past job where it is important to enjoy interacting with people.

The Paddlers Inn has five rooms and communal kitchen and bathroom space. A full cleaning takes approx 3-4hrs depending on changeovers. Attention to detail is essential to ensure cleaning and rooms are kept at a high standard. There is lots of independence required in the position so need to be able to work independently and ensure Inn is fully cleaned and prepared for guests each day.

We are looking for someone who can work until the end of October but might be possiblity of extending longer to coffeeshop and retail work once the Inn closes for the season.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 6-7 months

Pay: From $19.50 per hour
