Barista
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Follow recipes and guidelines for beverage preparation to ensure consistency and quality
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Handle food preparation tasks such as bagels and spreads
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment
- Stock inventory and replenish supplies as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from supervisors
