# Barista Duties
- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks and brewed coffee to standard recipes
- Operate espresso machine, grinder, Panini/press (for sandwiches) when applicable, and other cafe equipment safely and efficiently
- Use and maintain Panini press/oven for hot sandwich preparation; remove and handle sandwiches when ready to serve
- Ensure cleanliness of the bar, including espresso station, grinders, steam wand, and cold/hot stations
- Stock and rotate supplies (coffee beans, syrups, cups, lids, napkins, sandwich ingredients)
- Restock front-line displays with pastry, snacks, and sandwich ingredients; monitor expiry dates
- Prepare and present limited food items (e.g., sandwiches) as needed; transfer to service area safely
- Manage POS transactions, process orders, and handle cash/credit payments accurately
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service; answer questions about menu items
- Follow health, safety, sanitation, and food-handling standards; maintain food-safe practices in BOH interactions
- Communicate low-stock items or equipment needs to supervisor; assist with inventory checks
- Support opening/closing duties and end-of-shift clean-down
- Assist with seasonal specials, drink development, and pairing suggestions (coffee + sandwiches)
- Collaborate with FOH and BOH to maintain a smooth service flow
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.85-$22.62 per hour
