Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service , a positive attitude and strong attention to detail. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating an enjoyable experience for our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe. Hours for this position are 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Operate the POS system, for processing orders and transactions accurately. Serve food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including dining spaces and food prep areas. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math calculations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Uphold high standards of beverage preparation practices. packaging of take out and delivery orders. Assistance in preparing catering orders.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, with barista experience being a plus. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is essential. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
