Shaghf, a new specialty coffee destination in the heart of Downtown Toronto, is opening its doors soon--and we're looking for part-time Baristas to join our founding team!

We specialize in Arabic coffee, offering an elevated and modern experience of this timeless beverage in a beautifully designed setting at one of Toronto's most iconic locations. We serve a variety of expertly crafted espresso based drinks, including frappes, cappuccinos, lattes, and cortado, made with high quality beans and fresh ingredients.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, dining area, and equipment. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders efficiently. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashier duties. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service. Educate customers about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist in restocking as necessary. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling.

Requirements

Part-time Baristas available for flexible scheduling

Previous barista or cafe experience (specialty coffee experience is a plus!) A passion for hospitality and high-quality service Knowledge of Arabic coffee or a strong interest in learning Barista training and/or coffee certifications are preferred Reliable, professional, and team-oriented

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

Toronto, ON M5H 3B3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:

Barista: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Food Handler Certification (preferred) Food Safety Certification (preferred)
Work Location: In person
