Job Summary

we are looking for an experienced barista. Must have experience working in a cafe with a full espresso bar.

We are seeking someone that can work 6-8 hour shifts Friday, Saturday and Sunday all year round. More shifts can be available to cover time off requests and in the summer months. Tips usually add about $2-$3 to the hourly rate. Shifts are usually from 7:30am-3:30pm. Looking for someone who can start immediately.

please note this job requires you to do dishes And other cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping etc.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately Maintain cleanliness of the barista station, dining area, and equipment Assist with food preparation and serving as needed Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Utilize POS systems effectively, including Micros POS for order processing Manage time efficiently to meet customer demands during peak hours

Skills

Previous barista experience required. Please provide reference. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Familiarity with food industry practices and food safety regulations Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions Ability to operate POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food service best practices Attention to detail in beverage preparation and presentation
