Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Utilize POS systems to process orders efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, dining area, and equipment to adhere to food safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Assist with food preparation and serving as needed, adhering to food handling guidelines. Demonstrate basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling. Cleaning duties including dishes, washrooms, sweeping and mopping

Requirements

Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Proficient in time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to follow health regulations related to food handling. Current food handlers certificate or willingness to obtain Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Must possess strong attention to detail in beverage preparation and presentation. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$19.20 per hour
