Job Description

We're looking for a friendly and reliable Barista & Food Prep Assistant to join our team. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has a good work ethic, and can handle both coffee-making and basic food prep in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Coffee & Beverage Preparation

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks, including espresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, teas, and smoothies. Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment safely and effectively.

Food Preparation

Assist with preparing light food items (e.g., sandwiches, wraps, pastries, salads). Reheat or assemble pre-made food according to health and safety standards. Stock and restock prep areas, fridges, and display cases as needed.

Customer Service

Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and handle cash/card payments. Maintain a clean and organized front counter and dining area. Respond to customer requests or issues with professionalism and positivity.

General Duties

Clean workstations, machines, dishes, and surfaces regularly. Take out trash, sweep, and mop as part of closing or opening duties. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health protocols.

Requirements

Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs Strong communication and time management skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Basic English language skills

Preferred (Not Required)

Previous barista or food service experience Food Safe/Handling Certification

Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
