Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring that every customer has a delightful experience. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for help during the weekdays (Tuesday to Friday) with occasional weekend shifts (approx. 15-18 hours per week). Training is provided--just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn as much as you can!

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Maintain cleanliness of the coffee shop, including the preparation area, dining area, and equipment. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist with restocking as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Uphold company policies regarding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A friendly demeanour with a willingness to help others. Fluency in English and French is preferred
