Responsibilities
Ensuring Food Service standards are met by maintain a hygienic and clean work station
Responsible for preparing and restocking station prior to and at the end of each shift
Preparing for service each day, ensuring all preparations are done in advance to avoid delays in service
Cleaning the barista area and re-stocking all items. Disposing of garbage, cleaning utensils, coffee pots, blenders, and cleaning all surfaces, etc.
Responsible for taking care of leftover food/drinks, whether that means disposing of it, returning unused items to the correct inventory location, or storing it for use later.
Unload delivery trucks and store inventory correctly.
Wrapping cutlery as needed.
In the event of an absence, filling in, by being a productive team member if needed
Working as a team player with fellow staff members to ensure all food items are delivered at the appropriate time and temperature
Adhering to grooming, appearance and uniform standards consistently.
Wash dishes as assigned by the supervisor in the absence of a dishwasher and/or during slow periods.
Staying updated on current menu changes and monthly features etc.
Ability to follow instructions and ensure correct measurements are taken when making drinks
Following clear and concise instructions. Following other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Previous experience is an asset
Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Must be a team player
Positive interpersonal skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance is key.
Must be honest and work with a great deal of integrity
Must be able to communicate with managers, staff and customers
