Opportunity:

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Barista to join our Open House team. You'll be the face of our cafe for visitors, crafting high-quality beverages, serving baked goods, and providing outstanding customer service. Ideal candidates will have experience with espresso machines and a calm, friendly demeanour.

About Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary:

Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. For the rest, Dog Tales is home for as long as they need it to be.

The Role:

Operate professional espresso machines and other cafe equipment Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold drinks to recipe standards Handle customer transactions and operate POS system efficiently Serve pastries and maintain a well-stocked display Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cafe, including prep areas Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Provide a warm, friendly environment for customers

What You Bring:

Previous barista experience with espresso machines preferred Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude Comfortable handling food and beverages Ability to stand for extended periods and perform cleaning tasks Must be reliable and punctual for Sunday shifts

Schedule:

This is a part-time, permanent position for Sunday from 9am to 5pm.

Salary:

This position starts at $22 per hour.
