Job Title: Gaming Cafe Barista

Sankofa Cafe is a small, licensed cafe and gaming venue in Cole Harbour, focusing on high quality pastry, lunch, and coffee. We're seeking a friendly and energetic Barista to join our team at a dynamic gaming cafe where tasty food meets gaming culture. In this role, you'll craft high-quality beverages, sandwiches, and snacks. Engage with customers who share a passion for gaming, and help maintain an inviting atmosphere for both casual visitors and regular players. If you love coffee, community and games, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a range of simple lunch items and hot and cold drinks, including specialty coffee and themed beverages Provide excellent customer service to gamers, spectators, and casual cafe guests Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe and gaming lounge areas Stay informed about gaming events, tournaments, and promotions in the cafe Operating cash/POS systems and managing lineups efficiently Running food, clearing tables, and keeping the space clean and organized Washing dishes as needed

Requirements:

Previous barista or cafe experience preferred Serve Right certified Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable in a gaming-centric environment Basic food & drink preparation skills Strong multitasking and communication skills
This is a Part-time position. Day availability required. Starting wage is $16.50 plus tips.
