Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality beverages, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service setting, utilizing your skills in food handling, cash handling, and POS systems to ensure a positive experience for every guest. Prior barista experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages with attention to quality and presentation Operate POS systems such as Square for order processing and cash handling Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and giving change Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including food preparation areas and customer seating areas Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including serving baked goods or light snacks Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of POS systems such as Square POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours Experience in serving, food preparation, cashiering, and food industry operations is advantageous

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
